Gwen had some major ones too. Hers is an example. An angiogram was done in which no heart problem was revealed, not even the previously diagnosed one. It was a simple procedure. Took very little time. No time to break a sweat. No recovery surprises. $25,000 was the cost. We saw a lot of things on the bill that had no bearing on what was done in labs, supplies, etc. It's just insane. Why does it happen? Somebody got away with it once, others followed.

Once again you are writing about important things, Randy. If you find a way to mobilize any action on it, I'd want to know. We inflate prices on things for all the wrong reasons. In sports it's who got the biggest deal and that's the new standard for everyone with comparable skills, and inflation skyrockets. In automobiles we once had an incentive built in by Congress to buy American cars, where cars outside the country had extra costs given to them to sell here. What did American dealers do? Instead of recognizing the gift of being able to undersell the competition, they immediately raised their costs to match the higher costs of foreign cars. So if a new Mazda went from $7,000.00 to 15,000, then the Ford version of that car did the same. And consumers caught a rise of 40-50% in what a new car cost. Crazy. (I think I paid for the last new $7,000 Mazda before that change--next new car was double)

Keep calling the med situation out, brother. I am with you--just don't know what to do next with it. Grace and peace. Bill Ehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13410481400241112075noreply@blogger.com
